GLTA Liberty Open
Metropolitan Tennis Group, the 2008 GLTA Club of the Year, proudly presents the Liberty Open. The GLTA-sanctioned tournament is played at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, home to the US Open. Players from across the US and from around the world come to experience the courts where tennis greats Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Justine Henin and Andy Roddick have played. Saturday July 4th 8:00am - 11:00pm early rounds continue
Sunday July 5th 8:00am - 4:00pm quarter-finals &semi-finals
Monday July 6th 9:00am - 3:00pm - finals
Banquet: Sunday, July 5th, TBD
Finals: Monday, July 6th.
Any players who make it to the finals should expect to be available from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM on Monday.

Through the generosity of our MTG members who have offered to open their homes, we have a limited availability of hosted housing. It will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. If you would like to request housing, please email Patrick So at patrickso2020@yahoo.com.
MCCNY Homeless Youth Services & LIGALY:
Each year, the Liberty Open commitee designates charities to receive the proceeds from the tournament. This year, we are proud to benefit two outstanding local organizations. The MCCNY Homeless Youth Services provides emergency shelter and drop-in services to homeless LGBTQ youth in NYC. For more information visit www.homelessyouthservices.org.
Long Island Gay and Lesbian Youth (LIGALY) provides education, advocacy and social support services to Long Island's LGBT youth and young community; to empower LGBT youth, advocate for their diverse interests, and to edcuate society about them. For more information visit www.ligaly.org.
