INTRODUCING THE TEAM NEW YORK BUS TOUR!!!
The Team New York Bus is going on tour all over New York City!
Featuring the athletes of
Meet special guest Patrick So, Metropolitan Tennis Group's Commissioner, who won the 2009 Mr. Out of Bounds "Most Charm" Award. Patrick will be there along with MTG's tennis players & friends!
Here it is! The Team New York Bus Tour. No, there isn't really a "bus", but rather a hypothetical tour of athletes, as they stop from place to place, meeting their public. We'll be stopping at one bar each week, and we'll invite all of the LGBT Athletes participating in the upcoming Outgames and Gay Games to come in and have a drink! Additionally, each week we will feature one of the many LGBT Sports and Recreation organizations at these events!
These are social events which have been set up as fundraisers, as each bar will donate money towards our project to buy uniforms for each New York athlete going to Copenhagen this July, and Cologne next July! There is NO COVER to get in. Cash bar. Drink specials!
That's right, all registered athletes will receive a FREE TEAM NEW YORK UNIFORM (to be distributed in June), so we all look fabulous walking into the stadium together at the Opening Ceremony as one New York contingent!!
We count on your support at these events, and hope you will encourage some friends to join you each Thursday night from 6pm-8pm. You'll get an email telling you where the "bus" will be stopping each week, but you could also check on the Out of Bounds NYC Website at www.oobnyc.org.

Cheer New York is super proud of our members and organization!!! We made it to the Final Four and last round of voting in the Outsports Local Groups Challenge for Best Gay Sports Group of the Year 2008. We received over 3,000 votes and ended up defeating 3 powerhouses: Rugby, Wrestling and Basketball - all tied to strong world gay leagues and all (coincidentally) from San Francisco. Cheer New York is impressed and humbled by the support and love we received from family, friends, fans, CNY alumni, other cheer groups, and all the many LGBT athletic teams in NYC that voted for their fellow New Yorkers!
We were also touched by the fact that many of the charities and organizations we raise money for and support during the year, cheered "us" on! It was nice to read their comments and emails. Even the cheerleaders, need cheering...every once in a while!!!
